Service Description

It is a slow paced class, where we take our time to breath and move. It is a more suitable class for a beginner, but also an excellent class for advance practitioner. Samuel is coming from a background of Hatha Yoga and has been exposed to Advaita Vedanta. Even if Advaita Vedanta speaks directly to his heart, it seems that Hatha Yoga is easing the process and it is conducive for such experiential understanding. Class usually starts and ends with a short Satsang - in association with Truth. Followed by lubrication of joints, creating circulation in lymphatic system, releasing tensions in nodes of the body (important intersections), preparing the body. Before Sun Salutations, he may use different techniques to bring extra heat in the body. Once the body is warm, breath active, focus on, mind silent; Asana - sequence of postures begins. Internalizing the attention, directing the attention to different points, until you can relax even the attention and move into Awareness. At the end of the class, in Shavasana; he may instruct, towards what is referred as Pure Self, Consciousness, Pure Being. A State outside the realm of Concepts, where all experience is perceived. Leading the Mind into the Heart, until only presence remains. Not every practitioner can move into Stillness at will, therefore he is using Yoga as a mean of "Purification" to ease the process of Abiding in the Self. Be gentle, aware and respect the limitation of your body, don't break anything in the process.
